 CBDT notified cost inflation index for the FY 2021-22

CBDT notified cost inflation index (CCI) for the FY 2021-22 vide notification no 73/2021 dated 15th June 2021. Cost inflation index for the FY 2021-22 is 317, which is applicable from 01st April 2021. Here is the complete list of CCI since FY 2001-02. #Cost inflation index chart

Cost inflation index (CII) is useful to calculate the inflation-adjusted cost of asset acquisition/ improvement for computation of long term capital gain (LTCG) of assets, this indexation can help to reduce tax liabilities on long term capital gain.
